Oral Presenter
To help us run the programme smoothly, please send us your final presentation in advance of the conference.
Please email your slide to 5nations@in-conference.org.uk by Monday 5 May 2025 at 10:00am.
Please note: All presentations must be delivered in person. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer remote presentation options. If you’re no longer able to attend in person, please inform the 5 Nations Secretariat as soon as possible so we can reallocate your slot.
Poster Storm Presenter
As a Poster Storm presenter, you will be asked to give a 90-second oral presentation to introduce yourself and your poster to the conference audience. Timing will be strict – the beginning and end of your 90 seconds will be signalled by a bell. There will be no remote presentation option. If you are unable to attend in person, please contact the 5 Nations Secretariat as soon as possible so we can offer your slot to another attendee.
You will need to prepare one PowerPoint slide that includes:
- Your name
- Your poster number
- The poster title
- Any additional visual or brief text that will encourage attendees to visit your poster
Please email your slide to 5nations@in-conference.org.uk by Wednesday 30 April 2025
What to Include in Your Poster Storm Presentation
Please do not present the full poster or a full image of it on your slide. Instead, think of this session as a trailer for your poster. The goal is to grab attention and encourage the audience to visit your poster during the designated session. Use your time to highlight:
- The main research question
- A key element of your method or approach
- One or two headline findings
- Why your work matters or what’s innovative about it
Poster Presenter
Your Poster on 5 Nations 2025 Mobile App
We understand that plans can change, and some attendees may only be able to attend the conference for one day—meaning they might not have the chance to view all posters in person. To ensure maximum visibility, all poster abstracts will be available on the conference mobile app throughout the event.
Poster Submission Requirements:
- Submit your poster as a single-page, portrait-oriented PDF
- Other file formats will not be accepted
To upload your poster on the mobile app, please email 5nations@in-conference.org.uk with your PDF poster by Monday 5 May 2025
Poster Format, Setup & Removal
As a reminder, please note that all poster presentations must be in physical format – there will be no E-Poster stations available at the conference. Poster display panels measure 2.1m (height) x 1m (width). We recommend printing your poster in portrait orientation, approximately A0 size (maximum width: 84 cm / 33 inches, maximum height: 118 cm / 47 inches).
Mounting materials (Velcro tabs or pins) will be provided at the venue. Please do not use screws or double-sided adhesive tape, as they can damage the poster boards.
- Setup: Posters should be displayed on the board marked with your Paper Reference Number (P-XXX) on Wednesday 7 May, between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.
- Removal: Posters must be taken down by 3:00 PM on Thursday 8 May. Any posters left after this time will be disposed of.
Printing Services
We don’t have the facilities at the venue to printer your poster. If you’re looking for academic poster printing services in Birmingham, several local providers offer high-quality, large-format printing suitable for conferences presentations. Here are some options to consider:
Poster Session
There will be a dedicated Poster Session on Thursday 8 May from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM. Please ensure you are present by your poster during this time to engage with delegates and respond to questions.
